Commercial Gas Engineer– Hampshire £34k – £40k
M&E contractor based in south Hampshire who have been in the industry for over 30 years.
Commercial gas engineer to work across a range of clients that include leisure, health, educational and domestic installations.
You must have the ability to carry out planned maintenance (servicing), reactive breakdowns and new installation works.
You must be able to diagnose and resolve plant failures including the identification of any spares that may be required. The approach should always to achieve first-time fix when attending plant failures.
Based in Hampshire, you will be expected to work from home. The work area will normally be from Dorset in the west to Sussex in the east and up to and around M4. Ideally, candidates will be located within this geographical area. There will be occasional requirements to attend sites within the M25.
The candidate would ideally possess the following:
CCN1 – Core domestic national gas safety.
CEN1 – Domestic central heating boilers.
COCN1 – Core commercial national gas safety.
CODNCO1 – Core domestic to core commercial.
ICPN1 – First fix pipe installation < 75mbar.
TPCP1A – Test and purge.
CENWAT – Boilers and water heating appliances.
CIGA1 – Indirect fired heating appliances.
CDGA1 – Direct-fired heating appliances.
Full Driving Licence (preferably clean).
The ability to work unsupervised when required whilst also working as part of a team.
The ability to work and liaise with the end user client.
The ability to work to a high standard.
OFT10-101 – Single stage pressure jet servicing and commissioning
OFT10-102 – Domestic/light commercial servicing and commissioning – vaporising appliances
OFT10-105E – Installation of oil-fired combustion appliances
OFT10-600a – Installation of oil fuel storage and supply systems
OFT10-201 – Multi-stage pressure jet servicing and commissioning
Start and finish times will vary dependant on site requirements but expected core hours will be 8.00am to 5.00pm Mon- Fri.
- Salary – £neg depending on qualifications and experience.
- Additional hours may be available but not guaranteed.
